Congregational Care and Fellowship Ministry

Loving One Another!

The Congregational Care and Fellowship ministry coordinates our efforts to care for one another and to create opportunities to build relationships within the Church. Our vision in this ministry department is to make serving an enriching, rewarding, satisfying, challenging, spiritually nourishing experience and not a burden.  There is responsibility involved at every level and it is an opportunity to dampen your feet in service ministry along side fellow servants of kindred Spirit.  As the shepherd overseer of this ministry my pleasure comes from witnessing leaders who take the responsibility of one of our many areas of service and make it their own.  They have a passion for this aspect of ministry, love people, are willing to let others share in it, and reap the joy.  There is always a place for you in one of our many ministry areas.

There is much dinner planning and food service as well as kitchen coordination that goes on through this group, and we need to have one or two individuals oversee each activity.  “LADIES NIGHT OUT” happens in May and is a mother/daughter function.  Plans for theme, entertainment, and dinner are the main responsibilities.  “HARVEST DINNER” falls in May and is a seniors dinner that requires the same input. “FUNERAL DINNERS” have a coordinator that takes charge of seeing to the readiness of the dining room and food preparation.  “MEALS TO FAMILIES IN NEED” works the same way; where, how much or how many meals and for how long?  We also work together with the evangelism team in the coordinating of the “WELCOME DINNERS”.  We provide the service and evangelism testifies to the grace of God.  So the Word goes forth in truth and deed.  The “CHURCH PICNIC” is also an annual event that requires coordination, effort and foresight.  We also encompass the “SENIOR CITIZEN MINISTRY” which plans luncheons and group trips, as well as home visitation and communion to shut-ins or those who are unable to attend worship. This is an area that we can always use faithful help.  This ministry also coordinates the Men’s and Women’s “CONFERENCES” and “RECOGNITION” for graduates and infants.  We have a place for you.  See you at our meeting this fall.
