Sunday Morning Worship at NSCC

- What to Expect -

8:00 am - Chapel Hour is designed to be simple and traditional. During this time of worship it is typical to sing traditional hymns led by a worship leader with accompaniment on the piano or keyboard. On occasion a new song or chorus may be sung and other instruments may be used. The Lord's Supper is served weekly and the offering is received. Chapel Hour lasts approximately fifty-five minutes.

10:15 am - The Gathering for Worship strives to lead worshipers in authentic, whole-hearted praise of the Lord. The songs which are chosen are meant to invite worshipers to enter into His presence in spirit and in truth. Various music styles and instruments are used. The serving of the Lord’s Supper and the receiving of the offering is included. The Gathering for Worship lasts approximately ninety minutes.

You are invited to join us for either or both of our Sunday Worship opportunities. Both worship gatherings are always being evaluated for purposeful improvements.

Preaching At NSCC – At NSCC we believe that the Bible is worth preaching. A fundamental goal in our preaching is to let the Word speak. The exposition of the Scripture is held high. Preaching primarily focuses on the developed sermon series of our pastors which typically last from three to twelve weeks. Even in topical series, the goal is to say what the Bible says. The sermon series are designed to be substantial, and faith-building. The avoidance of devotional flimsiness is evident in the preaching and development of the sermon series at NSCC.
